"The SEC-FFF is always a win-win for the participants. Attendance was down a bit this year, but quantity and quality of exhibitors was terrific. And the seminars and programs were as good as you'll find anywhere.

Since the crowd was slim, all participants got plenty of individual attention. Just for example, I was hanging out down at the casting field Saturday afternoon to help. Things were slow and I asked a friend to watch my casting and help with a problem. Within a few minutes, I actually had 4 Master-Certified casting instructors diagnosing and helping with my cast. We worked for about an hour, i.e., about $400 worth of help for my measly $20 (or whatever) registration fee. Plus, one of the instructors even provided a cold drink half-way through the session.

It was great to see old friends and make some new ones. The fly tyers, as always, were amazing.

If you weren't there, you blew it. Don't make the same mistake again. Next year it will be at Unicoi again, but a earlier in the year (last weekend of April). That'll make it even better as it will be a cooler."
