"The Festival gave me an opportunity to learn more about casting, reading the water and fishing in the southeast. I thoroughly enjoyed the women's only casting clinic, and I was able to share with that group the impact that
CFR had on my life, and how CFR brought me the gift of fly fishing in addition to the wellness support I needed during my recovery. I met CFR volunteers, past retreat participants and reunited with a dear CFR friend from my retreat. When we were not busy being "booth babes" we laughed until we cried and then laughed some more! I also liked getting to know the women fly fishers from Georgia and hope to stay in contact with some of them. It was my first exposure to those that I have since dubbed the "flyfishing rock stars" - Jim Casada, Ed Jaborowski, Jimmy Jacobs, etc. and it was wonderful to hear their fishing stories and recommendations."
"The FFF Festival was a lesson in camaraderie. Everyone, whatever their field of expertise, was eager to share their knowledge of fly fishing...the authors, the fly fishing instructors, the fly tying experts, the fly rod designers and many other people with interest in the field of fly fishing. Lectures were very informative. Scheduling by the Festival committee allowed attendees the opportunity to attend various lectures.
The facilties at Unicoi seemed to meet all the Festivals' needs to insure a successful FFF gathering."
