MAC BROWN 

MAC BROWN is the author of 'Casting Angles' which is a fly casting handbook for those on the journey of understanding the cast. The American Casting Association, Federation of Fly Fishers, and others have endorsed this text as a reference for instructors as well. Mac is a Master Casting Instructor through the FFF. He resides in Bryson City, NC. His work has appeared in Fly Rod and Reel, Fly Fisherman, Angling Report, ESPN, Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, Fly Fishing America TV, and many others.  He was angler of the year for Field and Stream in the late 90's. Mac has been a pro staff member of Ross Reels, Scientific Anglers, Richardson Chest Boxes, G Loomis, Simms and many others since the early 90's. Mac started the fly fishing programs for Western Carolina University in the mid 90's. In the fall of 2010, we shot a TV broadcast  for 'Fly Fish TV' with Kelly Galloup. Look for it to air sometime early next year which should have some great info on streamer fishing. He is a professional guide through his company McLeod's Highland Fly Fishing, which specializes in casting instruction, schools, demos, lectures, destination trips and clinics. He has fished around the globe many times in pursuit of sport fish. The 40 years of knowledge and skill Mac brings to the sport of fly fishing have helped thousands of beginners and advanced anglers alike become more proficient in the art of fly casting. His enthusiasm and passion for the sport is contagious for all levels.
