I am very fortunate to have had a father who loved taking his little girl fishing with him anytime he put his boat in the waters of the Flint River which was often. I began fishing at age 6 and my passion for fly fishing has continued today with my best fishing buddy being my brother Andy who owns Cohutta Fishing Company in Cartersville, Georgia.

I began teaching casting classes under the tutelage of CCI Becky Strain in 2008 even before I took my own CCI test. I attended the Wulff Fly Fishing and Instructor School in May 2008. I have been taught by Joan Wulff (International & National Champion Fly Caster & Author) , Floyd Franke (former BOG) and Shelia Hassan (MCI). I passed my CCI in April 2009 when I was tested by Dr. Gordy Hill current BOG). In 2007 I fished for salmon and trout in the famed River Moy in Ireland with the International Women Fly Fishers. I also fished several of the local loughs (lakes) in and around Pontoon Bridge in County Mayo, Ireland. I have loved fly fishing many states here in the U.S. as well such as Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Kentucky, North & South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. I absolutely love fly fishing in the Florida Keys for Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon! I’ve also fished 80 miles offshore in the Dry Tortugas for giant Mutton Snapper & Grouper!!

I am currently employed as a guide for Blackhawk Fly Fishing on their private trophy trout water of the beautiful Soque River just outside of Clarkesville, Georgia.
