More Trout Fishing

Many of north Georgia's trout streams are within an  hour's drive. Odds are pretty good that you'll be passing near some excellent fishing on your way to or from the Festival - why not allow an extra day or two for fishing. Check the list of guides and fly shops at the left and on our exhibitors page - support the people who support us. Many of these guides and shops are offering special rates for Festival attendees. But if you want to explore on your own we've added a little something this year to help out. Jimmy Jacobs, author of "Trout Fishing In North Georgia - A Comprehensive Guide to Public Streams and Rivers" has graciously given us permission to use information from five chapters (19 - 23 of the Third Edition) of his book to provide you with a map and some other information on the following public Put & Take, Wild Trout and Trophy Trout streams. Just click on the creek or river name.  Jimmy is also one of this year's program presenters and Exhibitors, so if you want a copy of the Fourth Edition of his great book, come on over to his booth and chat with him.

Details on these fisheries are found at http://www.gofishgeorgia.com/node/242?cat+fishing .  Click on the lake of your choice and plan your trip.  For more details on fishing in Georgia, as well as making a license purchase ahead of time online, you can go straight to http://www.gogishgeorgia.com and navigate around the site for a variety of information on fishing here.

One final note; the SouthEastern Flyfishing Festival happens to be going on during
National Fishing & Boating Week.  Residents of Georgia may fish on Saturday, June 4th without having to purchase a fishing license or a trout license.

The waters listed here are only a small sampling of the opportunties you will have available during your visit to the SEC FFF Fly Fishing Show & festival.  We hope you will join us and look forward to introducing our guests to this great region.
